San Luis Obispo I Madonnari Festival--September 2005

We were invited to be artists at the San Luis Obispo I Madonnari this year, and as Cal Poly alumni with fond memories of the area, we couldn't say no. The festival was held over the weekend of Sept. 17-18, two weeks after Hurricane Katrina devastated Louisiana and Mississippi, particularly New Orleans. We decided to honor New Orleans with a jazz funeral and a promise of rebirth.
